Two senior Nigerian pastors, Apostle Suleman Johnson of the Omega Fire Ministries, OFM, and Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church were on Sunday morning set for a potential clash after taking different perspectives on the forthcoming Edo 2024 governorship election.

GWG.ng reports that the source of conflict is on the prospects of Azemhe Azena, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate.

Pastor Azena is a regional overseer of the OFM and is believed to be a mentee of Apostle Suleman Johnson and gone into the race with the blessings of his spiritual father. However, Primate Ayodele has predicted doom for his fellow cleric saying it is a waste of time and resources.

In a bold and controversial move, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, launched a scathing attack on Azemhe Azena, denouncing his gubernatorial aspirations as futile and urging him to abandon his campaign.

Primate Ayodele, renowned for his prophetic insights and unwavering convictions, minced no words as he dismissed Azena’s electoral bid as a misguided endeavor destined for failure. In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele asserted that Azena’s pursuit of political office lacked divine endorsement and would ultimately lead to disappointment.

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele cautioned Azena against squandering his resources on an endeavor devoid of divine approval, urging him instead to redirect his efforts towards charitable endeavors where he could make a tangible impact on the lives of others.

Apostle Suleman Johnson is yet to publicly respond to Ayodele but given his precedence on such things, the reaction is bound to be scathing.

The confrontation between Primate Ayodele and Apostle Suleman Johnson ver the Edo 2024 election has set the stage for a dramatic showdown, with the fate of Azena’s gubernatorial aspirations hanging in the balance.

As the political landscape in Edo State grows increasingly contentious, all eyes remain fixed on the outcome of the upcoming gubernatorial election, where the clash between spiritual leaders threatens to overshadow the political agenda
