JAMB Extends Direct Entry Registration Deadline

In a welcome move, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the Direct Entry registration will not close Thursday as previously scheduled.

This decision came after the Board acknowledged that its offices were closed during the UTME exercise, depriving candidates of the opportunity to register for Direct Entry.

In a gesture of goodwill, JAMB has opted to extend the registration period, allowing candidates to utilize the lost days. Although the new closing date has not been specified, this extension provides a second chance for candidates to complete their registration.

GWG.ng reports that this development is a relief for many candidates who were unable to register due to the closure of JAMB offices during the UTME exercise. The extension is a demonstration of the Board’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.

Candidates are advised to take advantage of this extension to complete their registration.
