Sex For Grades Lecturer Caught Pants Down After Preying On Police Officer’s Daughter

A senior lecturer at the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, faced public humiliation on Friday after being accused of making sexual advances towards a female student. The lecturer was stripped to his boxers by angry female undergraduates from the English Department, where he teaches.

The students, who claimed his actions had “caught up with him,” demanded his public humiliation. However, the university’s security unit intervened, sparing him further embarrassment.

During questioning, the lecturer allegedly implicated his colleagues, claiming they provided him with names of students to “pass or fail” based on their relationships with female students.

The university’s spokesperson, Mr. Daniel Iyke, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway. “The university has its internal mechanism for handling such cases. The Vice-Chancellor has set up a committee to investigate, and the report will be made public once it’s concluded,” Iyke said.

Efforts to reach the alleged victim or her father, a serving policeman, were unsuccessful as they were shielded from interacting with reporters.

GWG.ng reports that this incident comes just weeks after a similar incident at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where a lecturer was stripped and disgraced for attempting to sexually exploit a married female student.

The repeated occurrences of sexual misconduct by lecturers in Nigerian universities highlight the need for urgent action to address this issue and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
