Zack Orji refutes rumours that he is dead

Veteran actor Zack Orji has revealed a challenging time in his life when a suggestive movie scene he starred in with colleague Eucharia Anunobi in the 1994 film, Glamour Girls almost led to the end of his marriage and also caused him to be suspended by his church.

In a recent interview, Orji shared how a scene from the 1994 movie “Glamour Girls” caused issues in his marriage, despite his wife being an actress herself.

Orji explained that many of his wife’s friends filled her mind with unnecessary doubts and suspicions, leading to tension in their relationship. The situation worsened when his pastor called to express disappointment after receiving numerous complaints about the movie. Consequently, Orji was suspended from the church, adding to his marital woes.

GWG.ng reports that Glamour Girls, a 1994 production was one of the films that established Nollywood as an industry and had a cast of some of the best stars at that time including Liz Benson, Zack Orji, Eucharia Anunobi, Ngozi Ezeonu among others.

The two part film was about independent single women embarking on their independence within Nigeria’s traditionally patriarchal society through escorting.
