Tinubu Loses State House Reporter

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the family of the late veteran State House correspondent, Kabir Yusuf, who died on Tuesday.

GWG.ng learnt that the late journalist covered the state house for many years before he met his death on Tuesday.

Tinubu on Wednesday conveyed his condolences through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled “President Tinubu Mourns Veteran Journalist Kabir Yusuf.”

Yusuf was the Federal Capital Territory correspondent for The Triumph Newspaper and Radio France Internationale Hausa.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and comfort to his family in this time of grief and always,” the statement read.

Yusuf was said to have returned from the pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia a few days ago.

Meanwhile, his colleagues in the State House Press Corps have started mourning the reporter who was popularly known as “Kabir Sokoto,” describing him as “friendly and hardworking.”
