Lady remarried again

In a heartfelt twist of fate, a journalist known as Paleki has remarried, eight years after her first husband, Garang John, was arrested for failing to repay loans taken to fund their wedding.

The story, first reported by Tuko and shared by the Facebook platform ‘Hot in Juba,’ details Paleki’s journey to finding love again.

Paleki, who divorced her first husband, Garang John, a former news anchor, faced a tumultuous marriage from the start. In 2016, Garang borrowed millions of Sudanese pounds to finance their extravagant wedding at Freedom Hall in Juba. However, the joy was short-lived as Garang was soon arrested for his inability to repay the borrowed funds, leading to a faltering marriage.

Fast forward to eight years later, Paleki has found happiness once more. On July 27th, she married Ngino Along in a traditional wedding ceremony, marking a new chapter in her life.

The Facebook post detailing the news read: “Garang John’s ex-wife Paleki remarries after divorce. Paleki, the ex-wife of exiled former SSBC news anchor Garang John, has found love again. She married Garang John in 2016 in a lavish wedding at Freedom Hall, Juba. Soon after, Garang was arrested for failing to pay back millions of pounds borrowed for the wedding. Today, Paleki married Ngino Along in a traditional wedding.”

Garang John, now a vocal government critic following his detention in Blue House last year, remains in exile. Despite their shared past, Paleki has moved forward, embracing a new beginning with her new husband.
