In a new twist of events, the mother of Wizzy Nurudeeni, the newest signee of controversial singer Portable, has made her way to Lagos to confront her son over a pregnancy he allegedly abandoned.

A video circulating on social media showed the distraught mother revealing that Wizzy had impregnated a young woman in Ibadan before fleeing to Lagos to join Portable’s Zeh Nation.

Despite her anger, she expressed gratitude to Portable for caring for her son and nurturing his musical talent.

Unaware of the situation, Portable questioned Wizzy about his mother’s accusations. Wizzy admitted to abandoning his responsibilities back in Ibadan, where he left behind a family to pursue a career in Lagos.

GWG.ng reports that this incident is not the first time Portable’s record label has been caught up in such controversies. In December last year, another of Portable’s artistes, Abuga, faced a public scandal after a woman claiming to be his baby mama released an emotional video accusing him of neglecting her and their child. She pleaded for help, accusing Abuga of failing to fulfill his promise of marriage and abandoning his paternal duties.

Portable, who has gained fame for signing several street singers, has seen many of these relationships deteriorate into public feuds. Last December, his partnership with Young Duu ended on a sour note. Portable repeatedly criticized Young Duu online, accusing him of failing to deliver returns on his investment and cursing him for bringing bad luck to the label. Young Duu eventually left the label, returning the car Portable had gifted him, and the two have since traded barbs on social media.

Before Young Duu, Portable had a falling out with another signee, Manny Monnie, whom he accused of being ungrateful and attempting to double-cross him by secretly employing two music distributors. Portable, who claimed to have promoted and financed Manny Monnie, also accused him of scamming. The situation escalated when Manny Monnie ordered Portable’s arrest after alleging that Portable had threatened his life and incited violence against him.

As drama continues to swirl around Portable’s record label, it remains to be seen how these relationships will unfold in the future or if it really should be dubbed Wahala Music.
