Tinubu In Good Health, Not On Sick Bed - Orji Kalu

Abia North Senator and former governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has announced that he will no longer be flying his private jet until the federal government addresses salary disparities for workers across Nigeria and West Africa.

In a video shared on his Instagram and Facebook accounts on Saturday, Kalu revealed that he had stopped using his private jet as of August 2. Although the video lacked detailed context, it appeared he was responding to questions from unidentified individuals.

“Honestly, I have stopped using my private jet since 2 August. And I want to maintain that until we are able to sort out the differentials on the workers in Nigeria and in West Africa – their salaries, because buying fuel and the rest of them. I don’t need to explain to you,” Kalu stated.

While the senator refrained from disclosing whether he would switch to road transportation, he confirmed that he will now be traveling via commercial flights for the time being.

However, his statement seems not to go well with Nigerians as netizens trooped to the comment section to throw shade at the senator, asking what his decision has to do with the current economy challenges facing the country. Some netizens suggested he sells the private jet and remit the fund to Abia State government inorder to pay back the money he stole while in office as governor.

Read some netizens’ reactions to Kalu’s reason for abandoning his private jet;
