Japa: Nigerian Man Barred By Wife From Their UK Home Speaks (Video)
A Nigerian man living in the UK has shared a troubling story about how his wife framed him for a crime in an effort to take their house.
This revelation came during a video interview conducted by content creator Precious Ubani. In the interview, the man expressed his pain after bringing his wife from Nigeria to the UK, only to face unexpected and difficult challenges.
When asked if men should bring their wives from Nigeria to the UK, the man strongly advised against it. He pointed to cultural misunderstandings and personal conflicts as factors that contributed to his struggles.
After moving to the UK, he bought a house where they planned to build their lives together. However, he claimed that external influences, particularly from his wife’s church friends, began to negatively impact their relationship.
The man recounted a particularly shocking incident where his wife allegedly hurt herself in six places and then called the police, accusing him of assault. He said this was part of a plan to take ownership of their house.
He expressed his frustration, saying, “Nigerian and Ghanaian women are something else. Myself and my wife came from Nigeria to the UK. When I got here, I bought a house, and outside influences made my wife inflict bodily injury on herself in six places, then call the police on me just to take my house.”
The interview sparked reactions online. One commenter, carphy_flinks, said, “If men too start to dey talk wetin their eyes dey see for marriage walahi basket go full.”
Another user, baddiekimmyk, responded, “We need to hear from the woman’s side. Nigerian women love marriage way too much for them to chase their husbands out of the house. What did he do? The story no clear oh.”
A third commenter, ordeenchop, added, “Nigerian men carrying the mentality of abuse abroad and playing victims when the woman reports them to a working society… in Nigeria, police would tell you it’s a husband and wife matter.”
Meanwhile, ginaa_martinz remarked, “He might just be saying the truth, but because he is a man, no one will believe him… a lot of good men are going through a lot.”
