Governor Siminilayi Fubara and former First Lady Patience Jonathan were about the centre of attraction at the double thanksgiving organized by the Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM).
The thanksgiving was to mark the 51st birthday of Chinyere and the 18th anniversary of the founding of the church at its headquarters in Mbodo, Aluu near Port Harcourt on Sunday.
While there were several other guests who came to rejoice with the clergyman whose acts of philanthropy have gone far and wide, the political shade to the occasion was not lost on the discerning.

While the open warfare between Wike and Fubara is generally known to most Nigerians, the reported conflict between the former Rivers State governor and the Jonathan family is one that has been whispered here and there.
The link between Wike and the two is that Patience Jonathan helped Wike to power, reportedly suppressing Rotimi Amaechi to bring the former education minister to power. Wike on his part stopped all opposition to help Fubara to become his successor.
While the cause of the beef between the Jonathans and Wike is whispered here and there, it is a common fact that unlike eight years ago when the now FCT minister called her Mama that the undercurrents have shifted. What happened remains a mystery.
Meanwhile, just as Mama P as she is called has severed links with Wike, the man she made governor, so has Wike also turned even bellicose towards the man he also made governor.
It was as such a sight for some political stakeholders when the two reported foes of Wike were captured all smiles at the OPM thanksgiving. Patience Jonathan and Fubara with their undisguised gaiety would of course have been hoping for their own thanksgiving to confirm the defeat of their common enemy.
