Jesutega Onokpasa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC and member of the APC Presidential Council has tongue lashed President Bola Tinubu over the appointment of Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser on Media and Communications. He described the appointment as another betrayal of the true supporters of the president.
Onokpasa who is the chairman of the Tinubu Media Support Group averred in a video statement that while they were in the trenches, Daniel Bwala was on the other side and hurled all manner of insults on the president and his supporters.
He particularly chastised the president for abandoning his true supporters like Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Alhaji Yahaya Bello among others and going for the likes of Daniel Bwala who he said lacks the gravitas to convince anyone.
GWG.ng reports that Onokpasa used hard words to chastise Daniel Bwala.
Onokpasa and Bwala both lawyers, remarkably at one time worked variously in the office of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege when the latter was the deputy president of the Senate.
In a video message to GWG.ng, Onokpasa said:
“My president, I am so angry with you. How could you make such an appointment of Daniel Bwala? Who insulted all of us? Called you a dr-g dealer, a dr-g baron? You stabbed us in the back?”
Noting how the president has abandoned those he described as his true supporters like Mallam El-Rufai, Yahaya Bello among others in the sharing of appointments, Onokpasa who said he does not want any appointment, added:
“This is such a shame. That you will stab all of us in the back and bring such a man. We are the ones God used to put you in power. This is not how to treat people. You just dump your supporters,” he said.
“This is just too painful, this man insulted all of us. This man has , our supporters don’t like him.
“If there is anybody who says I am not a BATist may God punish such a person,” Onokpasa said in his rebuff of Tinubu’s appointment of Bwala.
