Popular skit maker Ola of Lagos has found himself in the middle of social media drama after advocating for the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in a now-viral video.

The video surfaced shortly after reports claimed he and a group of comedians were sent to India by the Nigerian government to observe the production of CNG.

In the video, Ola of Lagos is seen confidently endorsing CNG, describing it as safe and urging Nigerians to embrace its use.

However, this sparked widespread backlash online, with many questioning his expertise on the subject and the rationale behind sending entertainers to India for such an assignment.

Social media users were quick to criticize both Ola and the government. Many found the situation laughable, calling it a waste of resources and questioning why comedians, rather than industry experts, were chosen for the trip.

One user wrote, “How does a skit maker suddenly become a CNG advocate? This country is a movie!” Another quipped, “If CNG explodes now, will Ola of Lagos come and explain the science behind it?”
