Frank Edoho has opened up about how domestic violence rumors nearly cost him his job with MTN, the sponsor of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. In an interview, he set the record straight, addressing the false allegations and sharing his side of the story.

Renowned Nigerian TV host, filmmaker, and photographer, Frank Edoho, widely recognized for his role as the host of ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’, has addressed longstanding rumors about alleged domestic violence against his ex-wife.

In an interview on the popular podcast ‘WithChude’, Frank provided detailed insights into the situation, revealing that the truth was far from what many believed.

Frank explained that instead of being the aggressor, “the reverse was the case.” He categorically denied allegations of domestic violence and emphasized that he was never divorced. “Nobody divorced me,” he stated during the interview. “I took my suitcase and left the marriage. That’s it. Facts.”

The TV personality also recounted how the rumors nearly cost him his job with MTN, the sponsors of ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’. “I was still hosting ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’. I was in the UK when my boss called me and said, ‘Hey, the sponsor is hearing things about you.’ They said, ‘You’re not going to present this program anymore because of those rumors,’” Frank recalled.

Determined to clear his name, Frank immediately flew back to Nigeria. “I told them I’d be on the next flight. I landed in the morning, and by 9 a.m., I was in a meeting with three women and two men. The men made it clear from the start, saying, ‘This is just a formality. One thing we’re sure of is that you’re not doing that show anymore.’”

In the meeting, Frank listened as accusations of domestic violence were laid against him. He remained calm and began to share his side of the story, starting from his dating years through his marriage. “By the time I got to the birth of my son and my first daughter, two of the women were in tears,” he said.

Frank’s testimony not only shifted perceptions in the room but also underscored his position. “I said to them, ‘I took my suitcase and left the marriage.’ That was the reality,” he reiterated.

His revelations on the podcast have reignited conversations about the impact of rumors and the importance of hearing all sides of a story, especially when public figures are involved.
