“Don’t Expose Your Bo*bs To Our President,” Senator’s Wife Cautioned
By Benjamin Abioye
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels sparked a wave of mixed reactions after sharing photos of her meeting with former Ghanaian President John Mahama during the inauguration earlier this week.
Regina Daniels, accompanied by her husband Ned Nwoko was in Ghana for the inauguration following which she posted good looking photos of the encounter on Instagram.
However, not everyone was pleased with one particular commenter from Ghana cautioning that she should not expose her breast to their president.
In her post, Regina Daniels captioned the photos: “With President John Dramani Mahama after his inauguration in Accra. A proud moment for Ghana and a reminder of the strength of democracy in Africa. Wishing him and the people of Ghana success in this new chapter.”
However, it wasn’t just the meeting that caught the public’s attention but her choice of outfit.
While many praised Regina Daniels’ beauty, others expressed discomfort with her revealing attire, particularly the outfit exposing her cleavage as seen in the photos.
Several followers criticized her fashion choice, with some stating it was inappropriate for the occasion. One commenter, @tmonee, suggested, “You should consider hiring a stylist. There is a dress for every occasion,” while another, @ShieldBaby, added, “Wear the appropriate clothes next time. You can’t expose your breast in front of our president.”
Other comments echoed similar sentiments, with @marthadavies89 writing, “It’s not suitable for this meeting,” and @goldbeauty agreeing, “This dress is not ok for this occasion.” In contrast, there were those who admired Regina’s appearance, such as @ifysworld, who called her “absolutely stunning.”
Some users took a cultural stance, with @adejobena remarking, “Pls ladies respect African culture. We didn’t originate from white people. My mother brought me up in the African way, which teaches me to value modest dressing.”
Despite the criticism, Regina Daniels received plenty of support despite the criticisms over the photos. Followers like @mandueventus praised her beauty, commenting, “Gina you’re so beautiful,” while @empressnatural expressed pride in seeing her with the president, saying, “Seeing you and your husband with my president, I’m so proud of you girl. Keep the energy moving.”
Among the reactions, @joshuachima shared a thought-provoking statement: “Whosoever says money isn’t everything, hasn’t ever experienced poverty. Money can buy anything that exists.”
