Nollywood Mourns As Major Producer Slumps, Dies At Family Gathering

Nollywood has lost one of its prominent figures, Chijioke Ike, a producer and marketer, who reportedly passed away during a family gathering in his hometown in eastern Nigeria.

According to his colleague, Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, also known as Stanley Ontop, the incident occurred suddenly, leaving friends and colleagues in shock.

Stanley Ontop shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, where he expressed his pain and disbelief over the untimely loss of his colleague. He described Chijioke Ike as a vibrant figure in the film industry and the owner of the production and marketing company, Global Golden Movies.

In his post, Stanley wrote, “Black Day for Nollywood eastern part as we lost a vibrant Nollywood producer and marketer @globalgoldenmovies. This one pain me ooo. According to reliable sources, he slumped in a family meeting in his hometown and passed away. May his soul rest in peace. Shalom!”

This tragic loss has left the Nollywood community mourning, as Chijioke Ike was a key player in the industry. His death is being described as an irreplaceable loss to the eastern part of Nollywood with the industry players in grief over the demise of one of their major players.
