Taylor Swift Silent As Kanye West Takes Strange Instagram Action

Kanye West has stirred worldwide attention after he made Taylor Swift the only person he follows on Instagram.

This surprising action has left many fans curious, especially considering the complicated history between the two stars.

Kanye, known for his unpredictable social media behavior, often shares photos of his wife, Bianca Censori, including some racy images. At other times, he clears his feed entirely, leaving followers guessing about his next move. His decision to follow Taylor Swift alone has added another layer of mystery to his online behavior. 

Taylor Swift, who is currently dating NFL player Travis Kelce, has not followed Kanye back. This move follows Kanye’s subtle reference to Taylor and Travis in his latest album, *Vultures 2*. In the song *Lifestyle (Demo)*, Kanye raps, “I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce,” seemingly referencing Taylor and her boyfriend, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. 

The tension between Kanye and Taylor dates back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. At that event, Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video. He grabbed the microphone and stated that Beyoncé’s video was “one of the best of all time,” which sparked a feud between the two. 

Things escalated in 2016 with the release of Kanye’s song *Famous*, where he claimed Taylor had approved a line using a derogatory term about her. Taylor denied this, and the public dispute grew more heated after Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s then-wife, released a recorded conversation between Kanye and Taylor that seemed to back Kanye’s version of events. 

In a 2019 Vogue interview, Taylor discussed the emotional impact the scandal had on her. She called the public shaming she faced “a mass public shaming” that left her feeling isolated. Taylor revealed that she channeled her feelings into her music, citing songs like *This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things* and *Look What You Made Me Do* as examples of her creative response to the situation.
