Mork Death Threats Obi

Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has accused individuals of sending him and his family over 400 threats in a new twist to the alleged death threats opposition leader, Peter Obi first unraveled days ago.

Giving a new twist to the development, Morka claimed on Wednesday that works around 200 of the 400 threats to him and his family were explicit death threats.

Morka shared this alarming information during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday. According to him, these threats followed comments he made about Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.

Morka explained that his remarks during a Sunday interview had been misconstrued. In his statement, he had mentioned that Peter Obi “had crossed the line many times and should manage whatever he gets.” Obi interpreted these comments as a veiled threat to his life, which Morka says led to the serious consequences that followed.

The APC spokesperson revealed that, to date, he has received over 400 threats, nearly half of which are direct and violent death threats. These include explicit details about how individuals plan to harm him, such as threats to shoot or behead him. “These are not just vague threats,” Morka said. “They are graphic and specific threats, and some even extend to my family members.” He also confirmed that these threats are being documented and will be handed over to law enforcement.

Morka strongly denied any intention to threaten Peter Obi’s life and labeled the accusations as unfounded. “I did not threaten Peter Obi in any way,” he clarified. “These threats are being made by individuals on their own, and I trust that the authorities will take the necessary steps to hold them accountable.”
