Oshiomhole impeach Shaibu

The deputy governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu has disclosed how he knelt down before Adams Oshiomhole to beg him to forgive Governor Godwin Obaseki for whatever political indiscretion on the part of the governor but that his former political mentor would not budge.

Speaking in an interview, Shaibu said the victory of the governor in last weekend’s governorship election was a decisive blow to the menace of godfathers all over the country.

Noting his efforts to reconcile Oshiomhole and Obaseki, he said:

“I knelt down before Oshiomhole to beg him if whatever Obaseki did forgive him because of me your son,” but he said the former governor would not yield as he stuck to his anti-Obaseki position.

Affirming that the victory of Obaseki would cascade into a revolt against godfathers across the country, he said:

“Let this be a lesson to other godfathers especially for Tinubu who would not mind his business in Bourdillion in Lagos, for gandollar and  to know that no man is God. Today we don’t have a god father, but we have God the father.”
