Breaking: Ortom Escapes Death As Gun Men Hit Convoy

Shock and apprehension gripped the people of Benue on Saturday after the convoy of Governor Samuel Ortom was attacked near Tyomu community in Makurdi Local Government Area of the State on Saturday.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG gathered that the governor was on his way returning to Makurdi from Gboko which is about 100 kilometers away from the state capital when armed men opened fire on his convoy along the highway.

It was gathered that his security men replied with a barrage of firepower leading to an exchange.

More details on the attack are being awaited but the governor was believed to have escaped unhurt.
