Fani-Kayode, Nigerians Hit Osinbajo After Abduction Of 5 RCCG Pastors
By Editor
Mixed reactions have trailed the kidnap of five pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo coming under fire over his past defence of the actions of the government in curbing insecurity.
Osinbajo is a senior pastor of the RCCG who helped to get massive votes for President Muhammadu Buhari from church members on account of his placement on the ticket.
However, with the revelation of the kidnap of the five RCCG pastors, Nigerians descended on the vice-president who only a month ago was reported to have claimed that stories of attacks in Nigeria were exaggerated.
Among the first to descend on him was former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode who went on twitter to slam the vice-president.
Taunting the vice-president, Fani-Kayode asked the vice-president:
“Is Buhari still your Messiah? Do you still want us to be praying for the Fulani herdsmen? How many more people do they have to slaughter and abduct before your eyes open?”
Osinbajo’s position was before then also made more untenable with reports that herdsmen had killed a priest in Enugu. Catholic priests in Enugu had gone on demonstration in the coal city on Friday to protest the killing.
One twitter user Ed John in derision of Osinbajo’s stance that insecurity was exaggerated said the report of the kidnap was exaggerated.

However, there were other Nigerians who came out to defend the vice-president as they claimed that he was not the Inspector-General of Police or the commander-in-chief.
