Southeast Youth Leaders Blast Junaid Over Attack On Osinbajo

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL has attacked Northern leader, Dr. Junaid Mohammed over his denunciation of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo as an ethnic champion.

The group in a statement chided Dr. Mohammed of ignorance in the dynamics of government as it claimed that Prof. Osinbajo had not only been loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari but had proved his mettle in forming what it described as the most peaceful presidential partner in the history of the Fourth Republic.

The group in the statement issued by its president-general, Chief Goodluck Ibem, said Dr. Mohammed spoke out of ignorance.

The group said:

“Rather than thank Osinbajo for a job well done, the only thing that Junaid Mohammed will do is to attack an innocent man who did a good job worthy of emulation . When Mr. President came back from his medical treatment he was very happy with Osinbajo’s role during his absence and thanked him gracefully for a job well done.

“Junaid doesn’t know the dynamics of governance that is the reason he is insulting himself and not the vice president. Junaid is out to distract him from performing his constitutional duties.

“We would have ignored him hoping that he is bereft of facts, but for the glaring prejudice for the vice president’s office and the good of Nigeria informed our action and for posterity sake , we deemed it necessary to respond to this callous and baseless assertion to save the general public from being misinformed.

“Junaid’s vituperation against Osinbajo clearly shows that, he is an agent of intolerance and hatred and we will not allow him to negatively influence impressionable hearts and minds. He is a clog in our wheel of progress.

“Since the return to democracy in 1999 , Buhari and Osinbajo have been the most peaceful president and vice president. We commend them for just feet.

“The vice president Osinbajo have been very loyal and supportive to this administration and he has proved it beyond every reasonable doubt. He is a leader that has built Bridges for national progress.

“Contrary to claims made by Junaid, the highest ranking officer in the office of the vice president is the deputy chief of staff who happens to be Ade Abdulrahman Ipage, a Muslim while other senior aides of the vice President are Muslims.

“We call on the vice president  to disregard the unguarded comment of Junaid Mohammed made out of ignorance of the dynamics of government and concentrate on his duties of moving the country forward for the betterment all and sundry.”
