Outrage Over Kano’s Mysterious Deaths

The spate of mysterious deaths in Kano State is generating outrage on social media with Nigerians demanding a quicker response from the authorities.

Several reports, in recent days, have shown that people are dying in large numbers in the state, but it has not been ascertained whether they are related to Coronavirus.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Ehanire Osagie, on 22 April, noted that investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of deaths in the state.

The news of the deaths has sparked outrage as Many Twitter users are lamenting over what they described as the seeming poor response of the authorities in the state.

The main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has already asked President Muhammadu Buhari to relocate to the state while at the same time faulting Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Some Twitter users are demanding that the Federal Government intervene and investigate the cause of the unusual deaths in Kano, in order to avert the spread of another tragedy.
