7,550 Persons Now Carrying Coronavirus In Nigeria

Nigeria recorded 131 new cases of the COVID-19 pandemic and discharged 220 patients on Thursday, records from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC revealed on Thursday.

The new infections brought the total number of persons infected with the Coronavirus in the country to 56, 735 since the first infection in February.

The 220 persons discharged on Thursday also brought the total number of recoveries to 48,092. Two persons died on Thursday from the infection which brought the total number of mortalities to 1,093.

Lagos had the highest number of new infections with 45 persons followed by Kaduna, 17 and Plateau 17.

As at Thursday, there were 7,550 persons carrying the infection in Nigeria according to the data provided by the NCDC.
