The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has come under “attack” over his social media campaign for the return of former president, Goodluck Jonathan to power in 2023.

Fani-Kayode had taken to his Twitter handle to share a picture that bears the image of former president, Goodluck Jonathan with the inscription, “#bringbackGEJ” and the former aviation minister had written, ‘wouldn’t that be nice?”.

This development sparked reaction as many acknowledged that although the administration of President Buhari is nothing to write home about but many also questioned the propriety of bringing Jonathan back.

Also, some social media users were quick to claim that the perceived failures of the Muhammadu Buhari administration should not push the country into another mistake as they said that the structure of the country must be frontally addressed even for an ‘angel’ to succeed as a Nigerian leader.

There were also insinuations to the claim that Fani-Kayode’s campaign which would see Jonathan if he succeeds serve only a single term and return power to the North may have been the secret agenda for the title he recently received from an emirate in Zamfara State.

Fani-Kayode was recently bestowed with the title of Sadaukin Shinkafi.

One twitter user, Eboda Olayinka had tagged the civil rights activist, Aisha Yesufu thus: Come and see useless set of people ooo.

Responding, Mrs. Yesufu who was a co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls Group which resisted Jonathan and has also flayed President Muhammadu Buhari, said: “Useless wouldn’t descend to their level.”

While most of the comments were in the negative, the post which was made on Monday had as at Wednesday morning gotten more than 4, 200 likes on twitter.

That sounds like blasphemy – like telling God the powers He vested on His angels can do nothing. No hard feelings meant o.”

Oluwatunmise Akin@Stallion__11 wrote: “Yeah, not one dime. We could actually erect statues of him… Two in every state. His son can also become the next president without elections (at least we’d have solved the problem of the huge amount we spend on campaigns and election) his grandson can take over afterwards.”
