Mo Abudu Breaks Silence On Copyright Theft
Nigeria media mogul, Mo Abdu has firmly rebuffed allegations of exploitation and copyright violation raised against her by former Premium Times journalist Tobore Ovuorie over her work Oloture.
Ovuorie had accused Abudu and her firm Ebony Life of copyright violations of her investigative work on human trafficking saying that Oloture was a copy and paste story of her life depicted in her classic journalistic work ‘Inside Nigeria’s Ruthless Human Trafficking Mafia,’ published by Premium Times in 2014.
Ovuorie had on account of that demanded $5 million from Abudu for copying her work without her permission. She had also claimed that her health collapsed following her work on the story.
Now in a firm rebuff, Abudu has responded giving a sharply different narrative to Ms. Ovurorie’s claims.
