Nigerian hip hop sensation, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has said that he, Davido, and Burna Boy are yet to tap into the avalanche of opportunities in the Nigeria music industry even at the pinnacle of their career.

Speaking during an interview with ARISE TV in the wake of the receipt of his Grammy plaque, Wizkid said the trio are still “scratching the surface”

He stated that the coterie of new artistes on the music scene will take the Nigerian music Industry to a totally new height, adding that they are still learning.

Wizkid added that what the young people need is inspiration and mentorship.

“Nothing is impossible. You know you can really take it above and beyond. We are just scratching the surface; me, Burna, and David.

”I believe the next generation will take it to the next level because we are still like learners.

“All we do is inspiring the young people, showing them that everything is possible by doing what you have to do,” he said.

Recall that Burna boy and Wizkid recently won their first Grammy Awards.

Burnaboy won the award for the Best Global Music Album ‘Twice as Tall’ while Wizkid won Best music video for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ with Beyoncé.
