Six Lawmakers In Anambra Kill APGA’s Rooster, Pick APC’s Broom

Six members of the Anambra State House of Assembly elected on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

While receiving the new APC members, Chairman APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni, said; “Mere looking at what is happening, especially now that so prominent and serving state lawmakers have started joining, the grassroots is moving and Anambra people are moving to the APC.”

Green White Green (GWG) observed the development is less than 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari formally received Senator Andy Uba, the Anambra State gubernatorial candidate of the APC in the November 6 election.

The six Anambra lawmakers who defected from APGA to APC include Hon. Nonso Okafor, representing Nnewi North, Timothy Ifedioramma, representing Njikoka 1, Cater D. N Umeoduagu, representing Aguata 1, Lawrence Ezeudu, representing Dumekofia, Arthur Chiekwu, representing Idemmih North and Edward Ibuzo, representing Onisha North 2.

Also speaking during the event, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma said the people of the South-east people have woken up and the region is committed to national politics and be part and parcel of Nigeria.
