Both teams recorded opening wins on Matchday 1. Chelsea dispatched Zenit in a slim 1-0 win, while Juventus who have been woeful in the Serie A recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Swedish outfit Malmo FF.

Both teams experienced different fortunes over the weekend. Inconsistent Juventus recorded a 3-2 win over Sampdoria, while Chelsea who have been very impressive in all competitions, dropped points in a 1-0 defeat to rivals Chelsea last Saturday.
