Why I Joined Nollywood Stars To Dance, Sing, For Tinubu, Foluke Daramola Replies Critics
Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola has reacted to criticisms she and her Nollywood colleagues received after a video emerged of them dancing and singing in a meeting to appreciate All Progressives Congress, APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu .
The viral video showed Daramola, Mr Ibu and other Nollywood colleagues singing and dancing while hailing Tinubu.
However, the actress insisted the meeting had nothing to do with politics or Nollywood.
The video prompted fury from Nigerians, who slammed the actors for looking after their personal interests, by endorsing politicians who have failed to improve the lives of the masses.
Reacting to the dragging, Foluke Daramola in an Instagram video post on her verified page folukedaramolasalako, on “setting the record straight”, said the event was not a political campaign and the actors weren’t there to endorse anyone for the presidency, but to advocate for the peace and unity of Nigeria.
Foluke Daramola said the actors never endorsed Asiwaju Tinubu.
Foluke Daramola added that although she’s a card-carrying member of the All Progressives Congress, she said her group did not have politics in mind.
She further revealed “she was not paid in any way for the meeting”, stating it was “a unity and peace campaign, nothing more nothing less”.
