Edo Man Nabbed After Allegedly Raping, Stabbing Lady To Death

A man, simply identified as Zachariah has been arrested by men of the Edo State Police Command following reports of the murder of a 20-year-old girl, identified as Precious Aigbokhode, who was allegedly raped and stabbed to death at Agenebode, Etsako East Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, Precious was raped on Sunday and bled to death after multiple stabs.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, while confirming the incident on Wednesday, recounted that “On July 17, 2022, around 2.25pm, one Paul of Otuokwe reported at the Agenebode Police Station that about 12:30pm of same day, the corpse of his younger sister, Precious Aigbokhode, 20, was found on Pandaponti Street.

“Based on the report, the Divisional Crime Officer mobilised his men and moved to the scene, where the corpse was observed with marks of violence on it; there were multiple knife wounds all over her body. One Zachariah is helping with police investigation.”

Nwabuzor further hinted that the corpse was photographed and moved to a mortuary for an autopsy.
