Kalu Mourns As Buhari Loses Niece

The Senate Chief Whip, Sen Orji Kalu has commiserated with President Mauhammadu Buhari over the loss of his niece, Hajia Laraba Dauda.

Kalu, in a condolence message on Friday, acknowledged the good deeds of the deceased and urged the President to take solace in the fact that the late Dauda left behind remarkable legacies for her family and loved ones.

Kalu, a former governor of Abia ,also conveyed his condolences to the President’s nephew, Mallam Mamman Daura.

Kalu said: “I condole with President Muhammadu Buhari over the demise of his niece, Hajia Laraba Dauda.

“The deceased was a woman of virtue, who was passionate about the welfare of the people.

“She will be remembered for her good deeds.

“Our prayers and thoughts are with the President and his family during this period of grief”.

Kalu said as he mourned with Buhari over the loss of his niece and prayed Allah for her to make Al-Jannah Firdaus the final abode for Hajia Dauda.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Dauda is survived by several brothers and sisters, including Malam Mamman Daura, the President’s nephew. (NAN)

GWG.ng reports that President Buhari is in Daura perhaps on account of the bereavement and received the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr Godwin Emefiele on Thursday.
