Trump was arrested in Manhattan, New York, on Tuesday over his alleged role in the payment of hush money to a former adult movie actress, Stormy Daniels ahead of his 2016 election as president.

Though now released, Trump who is the leading Republican presidential candidate for the 2024 election voluntarily surrendered himself to the authorities.
