The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set a benchmark of 140 points as the minimum entry point for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2022/23 admission session.

JAMB registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede who announced this at the presentation of the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions and awards on Saturday in Abuja also disclosed that the minimum entry into polytechnics and Colleges of Education would be 100 points.

Prof Oloyede, however, said that individual schools were at liberty to raise their entry points as they chose but could not set it below the minimum.
