Organisers Of Igbo Summit Withdraw Invitation To Anambra-Born Tinubu ‘Lady’
Frontline Anambra-born Bola Tinubu supporter, Miss Chidinma Makuachukwu popularly known as Ada Anambra who gained political fame cum notoriety for her unending mockery of Peter Obi during the campaign season has had her invitation to the Alaigbo Youth Forum withdrawn.
GWG.ng reports that the invitation extended to her to grace a panel discussion was withdrawn after widespread outrage over her campaign role in mocking Peter Obi over his accents and perceived ethnic profiling of the Igbo during the campaign.
The Alaigbo Youth Forum is holding on December 18 and 19 in Owerri, Imo State and is expected to be a gathering of leading Igbo lights in the professions expected to showcase Igbo excellence and celebrate accomplishments across the world and Ada Anambra had been invited to join one of the panel discussions.
Following the elections, Ada Anambra has now been appointed as the National Program Manager for the Renewed Hope Shelter Program by the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr. Betta Edu.
GWG.ng reports that Dr Edu, herself traces her ancestry to Anambra State having been born of an Anambra father though brought up in Cross River and married to a Cross Riverian.
Withdrawing the invitation to Miss Makuachukwu, the chairman of the summit planning committee, Obinna Madu said it was due to her past statements during the campaign season which he said were considered derogatory to the Igbo community.
He said that Alaigbo Youth Forum prioritises inclusivity, respects diverse perspectives and upholds the values of unity within the Igbo community and beyond.
At the height of the 2023 campaign, Ada Anambra through the socio media spewed several aspersions against Peter Obi and at one time retweeting a post that mocked Peter Obi’s Igbo tongue, actions that the organisers of the Alaigbo Youth Forum thought divisive.
