Ondo State indigene and activist, Jimi Adekanle, has stirred storm after tracing the last-minute controversies around the deceased governor of the state, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu to his marriage, warning his audience not to marry from the wrong tribe.

In a circulating video, Adekanle expressed condolences for the governor’s passing while delving into the dynamics of Akeredolu’s personal life concluding that all his problems were traced to his marriage to the wrong lady from the wrong tribe.

He asserted that a ‘bad wife’ was a significant factor that contributed to the late governor’s difficulties during his final days, emphasizing that wealth could not shield one from the trials of life.

Adekanle who laid several allegations against the Imo State born wife of the former governor, Mrs Betty Akeredolu alleged that the former governor died in the care of his daughter with his wife supposedly not available.

GWG.ng reports that the damning assertions over the death of Akeredolu capped by the warning not to marry from the wrong tribe have triggered a strong backlash with several condemning the activist over his allegations and the veracity of his claims.

While reactions to Adekanle’s statements vary, with some condemning and others applauding his bold stance, the narrative has ignited discussions on the role of marital relationships and the potential repercussions of discord within a family.

@Simpleiykejnr: He laid accusations, hope he can defend them when the wife come after him. We know they’re truth, but just have evidences before speaking such in social media.

@Largemony: What a life, this is why it’s good to do good, and don’t stay glue to something because nothing made by man last forever.

@Jayjay_92: He should keep all those info to himself.

@EmmyBfunny: This says it all and so many others.

@Abdulhaq_szn: Someone should explain what this man is saying IDAN no get time to waste.

@Treytips: Did he go with all the cars, money, Gold, and Diamond? Despite the fact he can buy anything as a Governor he can’t pay for his own life. Death has no respect and can slap anybody. Let’s endeavor to live a good life and make a positive impact on people’s lives and not a pain in the a$$, let’s make the world a better place while we are here because we won’t be here forever. May his soul rest in peace.

@NonyXXXX: Why the hat* about a particular tribe, why you did not say it when the Governor was alive, I hope you have evidence to back it up and beside are guys not tired Playing this tribal card. Please allow this family to mourn their beloved husband and father.

The revelation adds a layer of complexity to the mourning process, prompting reflection on the broader societal conversation around the impact of marital dynamics on public figures, even in the aftermath of their passing.

GWG.ng reports that this allegation against Late Akeredolu ‘s wife came barely one week after Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike recounted how his estranged wife, Suzanne Emma’s allegations made him lose his properties and access to his kids.

Recall that a Lagos Island Customary Court in 2017 dissolved the marriage between Emeka Ike and his wife over incessant battery.

While featuring as a guest on Channels Television programme Rubbin’ Minds, hosted by Hero Daniels, Ike said his ex-wife’s assault allegations made him lose properties worth millions of naira.
