Nigerian Woman Dragged For ‘Disappearing’ After Using ‘Ajo’ Money To Organise Wedding
An X user with the Identity @mobolajitemmy has taken to her X account to drag a newly married woman for going out of reach after using people’s money she got from Ajo to get married.
Ajo is a trust-based informal group savings program where members regularly contribute fixed sums to a common fund. In this system, the group selects one member to receive all the pooled money until the next contribution period, which may vary from daily to weekly or even monthly.
The Newly Married Woman with the social media identity, missphoebi was accused of taking the first slot in the group, saving and blocking those in the group.
