PDP South-South Mourns Chief Ojougboh, Hails Role In Nation-Building
The South-South Zone of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has mourned the death of Dr Cairo Ojougboh who died on Wednesday while watching the Nigeria – South Africa match.
A statement issued by the national vice-chairman, South-South of the PDP, Chief Dan Osi Orbih remembered Dr Ojougboh for his sterling role in nation building especially while he served as National Vice-Chairman, South-South of the PDP.
In the statement mourning the death of the All Progressives Congress, APC chief, the PDP said:
“The news of the sudden demise of Hon. Dr Cairo Ojougboh came to us with a rude shock.
“The entire members of the Zonal Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, South-South Zone are deeply pained over this sad incident, which has thrown the people of Ika Federal Constituency and indeed, the people of Delta State into a mournful mood.
“Hon. Dr Cairo Ojougboh will be remembered for his role in nation building and his exceptional leadership qualities, especially during his tenure as Chairman of the PDP South-South, Zone.
“While we commiserate with members of his beloved family, the People of Ika Federal Constituency and Delta State, we urge that they take solace knowing that Hon. Dr Cairo Ojougboh left a positive impact in contributing meaningfully to the development of Nigeria.”
