Aisha Yesufu Reacts As Obidients Go To War Over New Allegations Of Corruption

Celebrated civil rights activist Aisha Yesufu was on Tuesday morning mocking at critics amid an online frenzy to drag her into yet unestablished allegations of corruption made against the leadership of the Labour Party by a prominent member of the Obidient family, FS Yusuf.

GWG.ng reports that the new wave of corruption allegations emerged on Tuesday morning after FS Yusuf made scathing claims of corruption against the Barrister Julius Abure led leadership of the party but without providing any specific details, an opportunity that gave room for critics of Aisha Yesufu to also drag her in.

The claims of corruption were generally broad with claims of Abure and some senior Obidients allegedly profiting from the contributions of those who backed Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election.

However, many were quick to fault Yusuf in the failure to provide specific evidences of corruption against Abure. Some others while dismissing him said that allegations of corruption against Abure were nothing new and in the absence of any specific claim asked the latest accuser to hold his breath.

Meanwhile, others perceived to be outside the Labour Party and perhaps sympathisers of the APC took the opportunity to infer that the new allegations of corruption raised by FS Yusuf would soon reach Aisha Yesufu, one of the most prominent Obidients with the allegation that she supported Obi because of the money.

Aisha Yesufu soon came back for them with a photograph of herself sipping a milk product and smiling at the storm first triggered by FS Yusuf.

GWG.ng reports that Aisha Yesufu, a successful businesswoman reportedly engaged in trading among other vocations, had in the past dismissed insinuations of profiting from her support for Obi.
