Japa: Nigerian Man Living In Germany Recounts How He Feeds On Discarded Food For Survival (Video)

A video capturing a Nigerian man based in Germany, opening up how he survives on a diet largely dependent on expired and discarded food items from supermarket trash bins has gone viral.

The video which was posted Online by Gistmedia, captured the Nigerian man describing a daily routine of scavenging through supermarket waste bins for edible food scraps.

In face of these challenges, the man warned his fellow Nigerians aspiring to ‘japa’ not to be too quick to envy those living abroad as they may not know their true living conditions.

He said, “If tomorrow I come back to Nigeria driving a Jeep, you will envy me, but you won’t know what I have been going through here (in Germany).”
