Nigerian UK life

In a heartfelt video, a Nigerian man has shared the troubling story of his longtime friend, who was sent out of his home two years after he brought his wife to stay with him in the UK.

The man expressed deep concern for his friend’s situation, stating, “The situation of the guy as we speak at the moment, as I’m doing this video, is nothing to write home about. This is the guy that has been in the UK for 17 years. This is the same guy that trained his wife through university in Nigeria”

He revealed that his friend was a former senior nurse who lost his license due to problems in his marriage: “He was a senior nurse before his pin was taken from him because of the situation between him and his wife.” He stated that his friend was living very comfortably in a well-furnished 2-bedroom flat before and was driving good cars, but now he lives in a single room. “Not only that, he lost his pin; he was kicked out of the house.”

He lamented the rapid decline in his friend’s life within just two years of his wife’s arrival in the UK, emphasizing, “He lost everything. Now, the man is over fifty years of age, where will he start from?”

Sharing his insights on marital challenges after relocating abroad, he cautioned, “It doesn’t matter if you have spent 20 years with a woman; she can still cause problems for you. Problems will start if you have a wife that loves to keep friends.” He said she would start seeking out people to socialize with, attending parties, and purchasing ‘Aso Ebi’ attire. Suddenly, her behavior would shift, adopting negative attitudes. Moreover, the individuals she mingled with would influence her, causing her to perceive you as ‘nobody.’

In his closing remarks, the man offered advice to men considering bringing their wives abroad, urging them to choose wisely and prioritize finding a partner who valued family over partying.
