Saudi Kingdom Awards Delta State Pilgrims For Exemplary Conduct In 2024 Hajj
The Delta State contingent to the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage has been honored with an award for their exemplary conduct in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Recognizing their outstanding performance, Saudi Arabian authorities commended Delta as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful and best-performing states during the Hajj.
Presented by Saudi Arabia, the award was received by Alhaji Auwalu Tukur, chairman of the Delta State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and leader of the delegation.
Following the ceremony, Tukur presented the award plaque to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Asaba, alongside Mr. Terry Etagherure, Commissioner of the Bureau for Special Duties, and Mr. Ferguson Atakere, his Special Assistant.
In his remarks, Tukur expressed gratitude to all Delta State pilgrims for their cooperation with Hajj officials, emphasizing that their collective good behavior was instrumental in earning this prestigious recognition.
