Hassan Nasrallah fate

The fate of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is in suspense following air strikes by Israeli air force jets that targeted the militia’s leaders in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

GWG.ng reports that while Israel has held back from saying if Nasrallah was a target insisted that the strikes were directed at Hezbollah command and control centres and also at ammunition depots.

GWG.ng quotes the BBC as reporting that Israel’s military said it carried out a “very accurate” strike on Hezbollah headquarters earlier, but it has not stated whether Hassan Nasrallah was the target putting suspense on his fate.

Air strikes continued into Saturday morning in southern Beirut, with thick smoke rising over several locations in Dahieh, an area known to be seriously populated by Hezbollah.

The Israeli military said that it was “attacking” targets in the Bekaa Valley on Saturday morning after detecting a rocket fired from Lebanon

On Friday, Lebanese officials said six people were killed and 91 injured in an air strike, with local officials saying that nearly 800 people have been killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon since Monday.

Meanwhile, the fate of Hassan Nasrallah has become the subject of much speculation.

GWG.ng reports that the Israeli strikes are upon the insistence that Hezbollah must stop the attacks on Northern Israel and said its mission was to ensure that the North of Israel is protected from such attacks that escalated after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
