Jubilation As Oyo PTS Launches ‘Almost Free’ Ibadan-Lagos Transportation Operations
The Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service (PTS) has officially launched its Ibadan-Lagos transport service, offering commuters a blend of affordability, comfort, and convenience.
In an announcement shared via its X (formerly Twitter) handle, PTS revealed that the service commenced on Sunday, with a one-way trip priced from Ibadan, Oyo State at N3,200.
For passengers boarding in Oyo State, the departure point is the PTS terminal located at T.C.T.C, Eleyele, Ibadan. In Lagos, passengers can board or alight at either the Ikeja BRT station or Ojota terminal.
“Commuters can now travel in comfort and style in our elegant rides at very competitive prices,” the agency stated in the post.
The buses, described as 15-seater commuter-friendly vehicles, are equipped with features aimed at providing a premium travel experience. These include:
Air-conditioning for enhanced comfort.
Free WiFi for connectivity on the go.
E-entertainment systems to keep travelers engaged.
Individual charging ports for personal devices.
Complimentary refreshments during trips.
Assurance of safety and security throughout the journey.
The Oyo PTS emphasized that its drivers are well-trained professionals tasked with ensuring passenger safety. The transport service runs daily, with four scheduled departure times: 7 am, 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm.
Payment can be made conveniently at the terminals using Pacesetter cards or ATM cards, with plans to roll out an online booking platform in the near future.
The Oyo PTS initiative is expected to elevate intercity transportation standards while offering a budget-friendly option for travelers between Ibadan and Lagos.
