Verydarkman Gifts N500k To Woman Assaulted By Police In Viral Video

Nigerian influencer and social advocate, Verydarkman, has taken a bold step in the ongoing case of a woman allegedly assaulted by police officers in Rivers State.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Verydarkman announced that he had transferred ₦500,000 to the woman to support her medical needs, particularly the treatment of her ear injury as a result of police assault.

The woman had previously gone viral after sharing a distressing video recounting her harrowing experience at the hands of four police officers traveling in a white Hilux vehicle. Her story, marked by visible injuries and a missing earring, drew widespread outrage and condemnation from Nigerians.

Addressing his intervention, Verydarkman stated that the donation was a personal gesture to alleviate her suffering while also holding the Nigerian Police accountable for their actions. He declared that the force now “indirectly owes” him the sum of ₦500,000 since its officers allegedly caused the injuries.

In his video, Verydarkman expressed frustration over recurring police brutality cases, saying, “Policemen cannot keep on doing this to citizens and keep going unpunished.” He demanded swift action from the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police, warning that he would be waiting for a formal response by the next morning.

“This isn’t just about the money. It’s about justice. Those involved must be brought to book,” he added.
