In another development, GWG.ng reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a stern warning to registration centers engaging in nocturnal (late-night) registration of candidates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), emphasizing the safety of candidates over profit.
In a statement released in Abuja on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, cautioned that the Board will not tolerate such practices, listing 10 registration centers across different states as offenders. He stressed that this warning would be the final one before sanctions are imposed.
“While JAMB appreciates the enthusiasm of these centers to register as many candidates as possible, this should never come at the cost of candidates’ safety and security,” the statement read.
