BBNaija Star Nengi Speaks On Governor’s Role In Her Pregnancy

BBNaija star Nengi Rebecca Hampson has finally addressed the swirling rumors linking her pregnancy to Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri.

Taking to social media, Nengi dismissed the news that has captured many in Nigeria over responsibility for her pregnancy, making it clear that she is not expecting a child for any governor.

“As much as I believe social media lies aren’t worth my time, I’ve come to accept that we live in a world where people are quick to spread lies without limits. So let me be clear, I’m not pregnant for any governor,” she wrote.

The controversy began after popular gossip blogger Gistlover spread the news that Nengi had secretly welcomed a child fathered by a married governor in Nigeria with four wives. The news quickly gained traction online around Nigeria, prompting reactions from fans and the general public.

However, Nengi firmly refuted the allegations, emphasizing that the rumors not only target her but also affect those she deeply respects.

“I’ve chosen to speak because this isn’t just an attack on me; it involves people I hold in the highest regard, and I won’t allow a beautiful, personal part of my life to be turned into something ugly,” she added.

While confirming that she is indeed expecting a baby, the former BBNaija star maintained that she wishes to enjoy her journey into motherhood in peace.

“While I continue to mind my own business and enjoy my pregnancy in PEACE, I wish y’all love and a happy Valentine’s weekend,” she concluded.
