EFCC Uncovers 58 Fraudulent Investment Schemes In Nigeria (List)

58 Fraudulent Investment Schemes

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has identified 58 companies, including Chinmark Homes and Shelters Limited, as fraudulent investment schemes deceiving Nigerians.

The commission made this announcement on Tuesday, March 11, stating that these companies have been illegally operating, promising fake investment returns while taking people’s money.

According to the EFCC, this action is part of its ongoing effort to clean up Nigeria’s financial system and provide citizens with accurate information about legitimate investment opportunities. The commission warned that none of these companies are registered with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The agency further revealed that several of the identified companies have already been taken to court. Five have been convicted, another five have pleaded guilty but are awaiting further legal review, while others are still facing trial.
