Video: Omokri Declares Total War On Obidients
By Benjamin Abioye

Reno Omokri has vowed to destroy the Obidient movement after facing threats and harassment from its supporters.
Former presidential aide and former pastor turned Bola Tinubu social media bouncer, Reno Omokri has revealed his personal vow to work against Peter Obi’s political movement, known as the Obidients, after experiencing threats and harassment from its supporters.
In an interview with NewsCentral, Omokri alleged that members of the movement not only attacked him online but also targeted his family.
“I took a vow to destroy that movement because Peter Obi was a project of mine,” Omokri declared.
According to him, after Obi defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), his supporters turned hostile towards anyone who criticized him. He claimed that these attacks escalated to the point where his family’s safety was threatened.
“Obidients started attacking me, threatening me, insulting me. That was okay, but then they moved from me to my family. I had just had a daughter at that time. There were multiple death threats. They even came to my house in the UK and trailed my wife and me while jogging.”
Omokri stated that he contacted Peter Obi directly to report a particular individual involved in these threats. However, he claimed that Obi refused to condemn the person.
“I contacted Peter Obi and named a specific individual who masquerades as a mixed-race girl online. Peter Obi put me on speakerphone, spoke to someone in the background, and then came back to say he could not condemn that person, only issue a general statement.”
Feeling that Obi failed to take action, Omokri decided to personally counter the movement.
“If Peter Obi is not going to control this violent movement, this thuggish movement, this mob, then I am going to do my possible best, with whatever political machinery I have, to destroy that movement,” he asserted.
Despite his stance, Obi’s supporters have continued to defend their candidate, arguing that their movement is peaceful and focused on political change. However, Omokri’s latest remarks are likely to further fuel tensions between him and the Obidient movement.
