Cement Prices BUA Dangote

The price of cement in Nigeria has changed significantly in recent times, affecting the construction industry. The cost varies depending on the brand, location, and market conditions.

Currently, a 50kg bag of Dangote Cement is sold between ₦8,000 and ₦10,300. It is known for its high quality and is widely used in construction. The price tends to be lower near production sites but rises in areas where transportation is required.

BUA Cement is slightly more affordable, with prices ranging from ₦8,000 to ₦8,500 per 50kg bag. It remains a popular option for builders, with minor price differences depending on proximity to manufacturing plants.

For Lafarge Water Shield Cement, the cost is much higher at ₦20,000 per 50kg bag. This type of cement is specially designed to resist moisture, making it ideal for areas prone to dampness.

Another specialized product, Waterproof Cement JK, is priced at ₦15,000 per 50kg bag. It provides extra protection against water, making it suitable for wet environments.

Over the past year, cement prices have increased significantly. At the beginning of 2024, a 50kg bag was about ₦4,500, but by November 2024, it had risen to ₦8,500, marking an 89% increase. This rising cost continues to impact construction expenses nationwide.
