Barcelona Eye Osimhen As Lewandowski’s Successor
By Benjamin Abioye

Barcelona are eyeing Victor Osimhen as Lewandowski’s potential successor, but high transfer costs and salary demands could hinder their chances of signing him this summer.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has become a potential option to replace Robert Lewandowski at FC Barcelona.
Lewandowski is having an outstanding season, scoring close to 50 goals as the campaign nears its end. This makes it one of the best seasons of his career.
However, the Polish striker will turn 37 in August, and Barcelona’s management knows they need to start planning for the future of their attack.
According to a report from SPORT, Barcelona are not only considering Osimhen but have also received an offer from Juventus regarding Dusan Vlahovic, who is currently out of favor at the Italian club.
Barcelona officials have concerns about Vlahovic. He has been linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia and the Premier League, so Barcelona are looking at other options.
Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in excellent form this season. He has scored 26 goals and provided five assists in 31 matches.
Napoli are reportedly open to selling the 26-year-old striker this summer. They are asking for around €75 million. However, Barcelona are worried that his transfer fee and salary demands are too high for their current financial situation.
Earlier this month, reports also mentioned that Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who will be a free agent in June, showed interest in joining Barcelona. But the club rejected this chance because Salah’s wage demand of €18 million per season was too much. They informed him he would have to take a big pay cut to make the transfer possible.
With the summer transfer window approaching, Osimhen continues to attract interest from the Premier League. Manchester United is one of the main clubs considering signing him.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray are trying to find ways to keep the Nigerian striker beyond his loan spell.
For Barcelona, financial uncertainty remains a big issue before the transfer window. Even if they gather enough funds, Director of Football Deco has suggested that his priority may be signing a left-winger instead of a striker. This could make it harder for them to bring in a high-profile forward like Osimhen.
